Penance and Prayer Day presents the same challenge to working parents every year: schoolchildren have the day off, but their parents have to go to work as usual.
For the second year running, automotive engineering developer BFFT offered child care for its employees’ children on Penance and Prayer Day (Wednesday, November 16, 2016) under the motto “My day at BFFT”. As part of an initiative to improve the compatibility of professional and family life, the children enjoyed a colourful, specially-created full-day programme. The programme ensured that schoolchildren aged between 6 and 14 spent an exciting and varied time at the company headquarters in Gaimersheim. After the communal breakfast in the Businesssport Club, the children had the choice between a yoga course for kids followed by a fantasy trip, a self-defence course, or a child-friendly tour of the company with a technical handicraft project. At lunchtime, the young visitors were served a selection of tasty pasta dishes in the BFFT cafeteria. The very successful day was rounded off with an afternoon visit to the Altstadt cinema to see the movie “Pets”. Employees of the sites in Ingolstadt Süd and Neuburg were even provided with a special shuttle service to take their children to the company headquarters.
The children of BFFT Regensburg employees were also offered an exciting programme under the motto “A special AIRxperience” at Munich Airport, in cooperation with gfi GmbH Regensburg.
Thanks to the child care provided on Penance and Prayer day, numerous parents of school children were easily able to combine their careers with family life. A big thank you goes out to the kids, who made this day absolutely unique.
Who knows, maybe one or two of them will turn out to be BFFT employees one day…
