Fabian Vettel (18) will be pulling up to the starting line next season at the Audi Sport TT Cup under the sponsorship of BFFT, the automotive engineering designer from Ingolstadt, Germany. Fabian is the younger brother of four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel. He’s also part of a high-caliber, international line-up competing for the Audi one-make cup introduced in 2015 as part of the DTM – the most popular motorsports platform in Germany.
Ingolstadt (18. The company focuses primarily on developing new technologies with an emphasis on driver assistance systems, digitalization and electric vehicles. “We are an automotive engineering designer, and Audi is our biggest customer. So for us, being able compete in their series with a talented driver like Fabian Vettel is an incredible opportunity. Our goal is to take motorsports and all the thrill and excitement that comes with racing to motivate our employees and attract qualified candidates. And sponsorship is also a great way for our teams to identify even more with our customer. The collaboration is helping to further strengthen the bond between the engineering design company and their biggest customer, Audi.
The company has previously participated in the Bundesliga (German soccer league) as a sponsor for FC Ingolstadt 04 and in the German hockey league at the ERC Ingolstadt. More recently, the BFFT “fan sofa” was named the winning entry in the Automotive Brand Contest in Paris. Employees got to enjoy an “up close and personal” view of the action both on the grass and on the ice from their very own front row seats on the “fan sofa.” In the biggest brand competition in the automotive industry, an international jury singled out the “fan sofa” concept as the most effective component of the BFFT brand strategy.
“To us, sports sponsorship isn’t just a goal in itself. It’s a strategic instrument,” says Schuster. At the Audi Sport TT Cup, Fabian Vettel will be displaying the BFFT logo prominently on the hood of his car, as well as on his racing suit and helmet. “In conjunction with our participation in the race, we’re also offering a lot of activities for our employees. For example, staff will have a chance to get know Fabian Vettel by taking part in go-carting and fan sofa events or through our social media channels.
