On 15 and 16 September, the Blancpain GT Europe Series made a guest appearance at the Nürburgring in the Eifel, which is rich in tradition. Incorporated into the GT racing series is the fastest one-make cup in the world, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. In attendance: Fabian Vettel with his main sponsor BFFT in the 620 HP Lamborghini Huracan.
In contrast to the four previous racing weekends, there was a significant difference. Fabian Vettel was assigned for the first time to the lead car of the Konrad Motorsport racing team. More precisely, this means that Vettel started alongside the fastest team racer, Axel Jeffries, for the first time. In the 50 Lamborghini strong starting grid, the pair achieved 16th position for the first race and 10th position for the second race in qualifying. From these positions, the pair managed 8th place in the first race and 10th place in the second. For Fabian Vettel, these were his best placings in the racing season so far. It can be assumed that for the last remaining racing weekend in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, Konrad Motorsport will once again go with the Jeffries/Vettel duo.
Sponsoring and activation clearly belong together. BFFT, therefore, sent eight lucky colleagues to the Nürburgring in the Fanmobile, to experience Fabian Vettel and his racing car live. In addition to an overnight stay and meals, the weekend, above all, brought with it many horsepower and adrenaline-rich moments. They got to meet Fabian Vettel at a joint dinner as well as at a meet and greet in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo driver’s paddock. They subsequently cheered on the man from Heppenheim from the best seats in the stands.
BFFT has its fingers crossed for its fastest employee in his final race and hopes for another top-ten finish for Fabian Vettel.
