Priority for comfort and driving safety

In the Comfort & Passive Safety program, we have all the expertise required for classic interior electronics development.

From developing onboard power and comfort control units to systems for passive safety in the vehicle.

The focus of our work within the Comfort & Passive Safety program is developing and integrating onboard power and comfort control units as well as all topics relating to passive safety.

We master the entire process from requirement definition to complete hardware and software development and functional, geometric integration. Tests and validation methods are just as much part of our expert skill set as pattern building.

Control comfort

On-board control units include, for example, steering column switch modules or body controllers. Comfort control devices include, among others, seat, roof, window or door devices as well as LED-based interior lighting. The goal is an optimal comfort experience for the end customer.

Working with concept

This is supported by sophisticated interior lighting concepts based on customer and developer experience, as well as maximum ease of use for opening, closing, starting and driving. Always including comprehensive and forward-looking, safety-optimised functional architecture.

In addition, devices and intelligent switch integration for controlling exterior light, seat, window and door functions as well as for power supply and heating, ventilation and air conditioning in the vehicle are also relevant for comfort.

Safety, always driving with you

Passive safety in the vehicle is provided by airbag control units or e-call-based emergency call systems.

In addition, there are active neck supports, seat belt recognition with audible and visual warnings or automatic hazard warning light activation and automatic door release in the event of a crash.
