EDAG BFFT Electronics has set up its own programme for electrifying the entire vehicle and integrating innovative E-drive solutions for complex electric drives around the new and further development of appropriate components and systems.

Electric drives: Development under power

Our developers target all relevant drives: Battery Electric Drives (BEV), Fuel Cell Electric Drives (FCEV) and Hybrid Electrical Drives (HEV).

The range of services extends from designing drives, feasibility studies and prototyping to integration and commissioning, including all related testing and safeguarding procedures.

The whole set-up of electromobility

Our competences cover the entire set-up of electromobility. These include the memories and converters, control modules (VCU), electric motor, on-board network, charging infrastructure and inverters.

In the course of development, we assume system responsibility for the control of functional, component and subsystem integration.

This means: We support our development partners in implementing specifications and a new process understanding. We can help with supplier selection and management as well as handle project and change management.

With own test environment

A great advantage: Tests can be carried out on our own ePWT test field. Here, the required infrastructure is created for the entire validation and the statutory protection.

We create in-house and thus quickly the conditions for homologation, UN certifications and street release.

Our experience and our engineering know-how over the entire process, especially our expertise in mechanical and electrical integration, networking and commissioning. All required battery and component tests can be performed on our own ePWT test field.

To sustainable e-mobility solutions with high user acceptance.
